About this rug

Navy rather than brown frames this Bokhara, giving the bright red field a cooler edge. The border mixes navy diagonal stripes with red panels holding ivory-dotted crosses, between bands of red curled leaves on navy. In the field, 40 small dark guls stand in ten rows of four, each with ivory hooks, and dark eight-pointed stars dotted in ivory fill the spaces.

A home library or a spare room of 2.6 m by 2.1 m or larger has space for its 196 × 147 cm. The natural wool is hand-knotted and Afghan-made, and the rug belongs to our Bokhara rug range.
