About this rug

A stepped diamond medallion in slate blue, outlined in orange and ivory, holds an ivory cross of four leaf-patterned arms around a gold centre. The rose-red field around it is shaped as a larger diamond, covered with small stylised shrubs, crosses and dotted rosettes in aubergine, navy, gold and ivory. Slate-blue corners with a stepped inner edge fill the space outside. A dark aubergine border of small ivory and pink motifs runs between dotted ivory guards.
