This is a classic Kashan rug, distinguished by its elegant central medallion and dense, flowing floral design. The layout is well balanced, with finely drawn vines, palmettes, and blossoms filling the field in a refined and harmonious composition typical of Kashan weaving.

About this rug

This Kashan's deep navy field is densely covered with vines, palmettes and small blossoms in red, ivory, beige and blue. At its centre is a lobed red medallion with an ivory and pale blue core and short pendants top and bottom, echoed by ivory corners filled with red flowers. A broad brick-red border with navy palmettes and slim olive guard stripes frames it all.
