About this rug

Scarlet in the field and wine red in the borders give this Khal Mohammadi Turkmen rug two distinct reds. Six large stepped medallions stand in pairs down the field, each navy with a red panel at its centre holding a dark eight-pointed snowflake. Rows of smaller diamonds outlined in gold sit between the pairs, and a line of small navy rosettes runs down the middle. The broad wine-red border is worked in fine diagonal bands.
