About this rug

Five square, stepped medallions in navy-black run down the red centre of this Afghan Khal Mohammadi runner, each with a quartered rosette at its heart. Around them, navy key shapes, small flowering sprigs and dots ringed in ivory fill the field. The border is a dark band of large red octagons with lobed edges, each holding a stylised tree and traced with a thin ivory line, with a cream fringe at each end.
