Shiraz carpets are simple Persian carpets made of wool from the region. They are woven on a cotton or wool foundation with a woollen pile.

About this rug

Small diamond-shaped bushes, built from ivory, black and gold dots, stand in tidy columns across the red field, with the two black medallions placed among them. Each medallion of this Shiraz has stepped ivory edges and gold hooked arms, and a concentric diamond of pink, red, ivory and gold at its centre. A border of little pink and red rosettes on ivory runs between narrow grey-blue stripes flecked with ivory, and both ends carry a taupe fringe.
