About this rug

Fourteen octagonal guls in ivory, each quartered inside with navy, red and pale blue, stand in two columns of seven on the crimson field of this Karachi Bokhara. Small navy and ivory crosses sit between each pair, with half-crosses along the edges. The main border repeats the idea on a small scale with a row of little ivory star-rosettes on red, and narrow bands of diamond chevrons close the field at both ends before the cream fringe.
