About this rug

A single column of seven large octagons fills the centre of this akche runner, each quartered in dark brown around a small star panel, with dark star sprigs on either side. The ground is a muted rust red rather than a bright one, which keeps the overall look soft and warm. The borders carry curled dark leaves between narrow bands of tiny diamonds, and a short beige fringe finishes the ends.
