About this rug

Two red medallions with navy sawtooth outlines bracket a sky-blue one down the centre of this cream Afghan Kazak. Four olive-green diamonds with red hearts sit between them, and small navy fir trees, octagons and stars are scattered around. A navy band of X-shapes surrounds the field, and the red main border alternates eight-pointed stars in ivory, olive and blue with S-shaped hooks, between stripes of gold and blue-grey.
