About this rug

Rows of tall, narrow panels make this Afghan Tashqandi easy to tell apart from a gul or medallion rug. Saffron yellow and leaf green alternate across each of its five rows, every panel holding a curling hooked figure over a navy base, with small maroon squares near the top. Ivory diamonds join the rows where they meet. The border mixes olive, yellow and navy flower shapes with maroon accents, and at both ends a strip of small multicoloured squares sits just inside the white fringe.
