About this rug

Narrow bands of small red motifs run diagonally across a near-black aubergine field, giving this Baluch piece a quiet, striped movement. The border is the brightest part: raspberry red with dark hooked crosses set end to end, inside thin guard lines dotted in ivory, and both short ends carry a pale fringe.

With a natural wool pile about 8 mm deep, knotted by hand, this long, narrow 200 × 88 cm piece can run along a hallway roughly 1.1 to 1.3 m wide, lie beside a bed, or fill the gap in front of a kitchen counter. It joins our handmade Baluch rugs.
