About this rug

A fine, tightly packed repeat of tiny rosettes and curved leaves, in the herati style, covers the navy and rose-red field of this Bidjar. At the centre, an ivory diamond medallion holds a smaller navy-outlined medallion worked in the same small motifs, and ivory triangles fill the corners to match. The main border is rose red with navy and ivory rosettes and palmettes, framed by several narrow guard stripes.
