This beautiful Persian Kashan carpet is hand-knotted in Kashan, Iran, one of the most respected and historic weaving cities in Persia. Kashan rugs are well known for their elegant central medallion designs, rich red fields, and finely detailed floral patterns, making them among the most recognizable classic Persian carpets.

The rug features a traditional medallion composition surrounded by intricate floral vines and Persian motifs, set on a deep red background and framed by a detailed navy blue border. About this rug

Red, navy and ivory are arranged here in the classic Kashan way. A deep red field, closely sprinkled with small flowers and leaves, surrounds a navy medallion whose ivory heart holds a pale blue star. Navy pendants extend it top and bottom, and the corners switch to ivory with touches of blue, which brightens all four ends of the field. A navy main border, scattered with red and gold rosettes, sits between narrow cream and red guard stripes, and short white fringes close both ends.
