An authentic Persian Tabriz rug, hand-knotted in Iran with a 100% wool pile. It features a rich red field, detailed floral medallion and deep navy borders with cream, green and soft blue accents. Pre-owned and in Vintage overall condition, with Age related wear and natural irregularities.

About this rug

Small clusters of ivory and pink blossoms on green stems are spaced widely over the raspberry-red field, around a navy starburst medallion. That medallion is edged in curling ivory hooks and holds an ivory star with a sage-green flower in the middle, and small navy pendants point towards each end. Navy corners carry gold and sage leaves, and pink, ivory, gold and green flower sprays fill the navy main border inside ivory stripes.

From Tabriz in Iran, it is hand-knotted in 100% wool and measures 345 × 255 cm. With the blossoms so widely spaced, the red centre stays in view around a coffee table. Denser, palmette-filled fields feature in our Tabriz rug range.
