About this rug

A red stepped diamond sits between two navy octagons on the cream ground of this Afghan Kazak, each octagon framing a pale grey-blue centre with an eight-petal rosette. Small navy and red rosettes, red hooked sprigs and grey-green tulip shapes in the corners fill the space around the three medallions. The red border carries ivory geometric flowers and navy rosettes inside a navy edge, and cream fringes hang from both ends.
