About this rug

Twelve small octagonal guls follow one another down the soft beige centre of this runner. Each is outlined in charcoal with teal and ivory at its core, and stepped charcoal hooks reach in from both long sides between them. A beaded line of tiny teal and ivory dots edges the field, while the deep border repeats star rosettes in the same colours and ends in a band of small diamonds and an ivory fringe.

Hand-knotted in Pakistan from 100% natural wool, with 250 knots per square inch and a pile of about 8 mm, the runner is 62 cm wide, which leaves a strip of floor on either side in a hallway of 85 to 100 cm; it also works along one side of a bed. Shorter and wider pieces in the same weave are among our Bokhara rugs.
