About this rug

A lattice of small ivory diamonds outlined in burgundy covers the silver-blue field of this Afghan Mahi-design rug. In the middle is an ivory oval medallion holding a navy eight-petal rosette, framed in burgundy and gold, and the field's upper and lower edges are shaped into scalloped arches with burgundy corners beyond. The navy main border alternates gold roundels with grey-blue cartouches between gold guard stripes, and cream fringes finish the ends.
