A richly patterned Afghan Kilim Barjesta featuring rows of large angular star medallions across a warm golden field. Smaller stars, crosses and abstract tribal symbols fill the spaces between them, creating a dense and energetic composition.

Raised wool outlines accentuate the principal motifs against the flatwoven kilim ground. The centre is framed by a broad red diamond-patterned border, followed by narrower floral and geometric bands. Striped end panels provide a traditional finish.
