About this rug

Rose pink and sky blue are the colours that stand out on this ivory Kashan. Its centre is a starburst: ivory petals on a jade-green ring around a small navy and pink rosette, with blossoms radiating outwards. Beyond it the field stays open, scattered with rose-pink palmettes, sky-blue leaves and navy flowers on fine stems, and small navy and blue clusters mark the corners.

Along the ivory main border, navy and sky-blue vines carry rose-pink palmettes. Knotted by hand in Iran, it has a 13 mm pile of 100% natural wool, and in a 4.1 × 3 m room it leaves bare floor all round. Compare this starburst design with our other Kashan rugs.
