About this rug

Forty-two charcoal guls fill the honey-beige field in three columns of fourteen, with rows of small charcoal crosses between them and half-crosses along the edges. Dark guls on a pale ground keep the pattern easy to read from across a room. The borders of this Karachi Bokhara stay with the same two tones, adding a row of charcoal motifs touched with rose between narrow ivory guards, and an outer band of diamond lattice sits at the end above the ivory fringe.
