About this rug

Near-black borders take up about half the width of this narrow Afghan runner, so it reads dark and quiet. Red lozenges pricked with ivory dots line those borders, and a row of larger lozenges fills the end. The oxblood centre holds two columns of dark octagonal guls marked with ivory crosses, with small ivory eight-pointed stars and dark cross shapes between them, and an ivory fringe finishes it.
