About this rug

Small guls, about four across, cover this Turkmen Bashiri runner from end to end in a close lattice, each a dark octagon around an ivory-centred cross. Ivory hooks are dotted through the brick-red field, and the side borders alternate dark roundels with small ivory box motifs. At one end, a row of larger ivory boxes holding red diamonds sits above a strip of black, tan and ivory blocks, and the fringe is grey.
