About this rug

A small ivory zigzag, like a flash of lightning, crosses every dark gul on this akche runner. The guls stand in two columns down a deep red centre with small dark crosses between them, while wide dark burgundy borders take up much of the width. Those borders are packed with stepped diamonds in a dense lattice, flecked here and there with ivory, so the brighter centre stands out between them.
