About this rug

Small stepped diamonds in ivory, lilac, mint, mustard and slate blue are packed in diagonal rows across a rust-orange field. A slate-blue frame dotted with tiny diamonds surrounds it, and the wide cream border is edged with multicoloured stepped triangles in purple, orange, green and blue that point inwards, with grey fringes beyond.

Hand-woven in Afghanistan as a flatweave in 100% natural wool, it has bright colours that suit a playroom, a sunny lounge or a child's bedroom, and its 204 × 133 cm can lie alongside a double bed or beneath a coffee table. Calmer, muted colourings appear among our Afghan kilim rugs as well.
