About this rug

Fifteen navy diamond medallions, in five rows of three, set the rhythm of this Afghan Turkmen rug. Each is ringed with small latch hooks and quartered at the centre in tan and red, while open diamonds drawn in navy hooks sit between them, each with a little quartered lozenge inside. A band of navy and ochre chevrons, like a feathered herringbone, frames the bright red field, and the ends are fringed.
