About this rug

Rounded guls, slightly taller than they are wide, line the red field of this runner in two columns, each quartered in dark red with sand-coloured corner details. Between and beside them, cross-shaped motifs reach out in white hooks. The border is navy-black with slanting red leaves flecked in ivory, giving the edges a sense of movement, and a narrow band of small dark arrows sits outside it before the cream fringe.

This Akche piece was knotted by hand in natural wool, some 80 knots per square inch, and measures 287 × 78 cm. Run it down a hallway around 1 to 1.2 m wide or in front of a long kitchen counter. Compare the border styles across our Akche woollen rugs.
