About this rug

There is no medallion on this Kashan. Instead, curling sickle leaves, palmettes, teardrop shapes and blossoms in cream, sand and pale blue spread over the dark navy field from end to end, mirrored from left to right. A navy main border alternates rosettes and palmettes between thin cream guard stripes.

Because nothing marks a centre point, sofas and tables can stand on any part of it without hiding a focal motif, which suits a furnished lounge measuring some 4.4 m by 3.5 m. Hand-knotted in Iran in natural wool with a 13 mm pile, it belongs to our Kashan rug range.
