About this rug

Instead of round guls, this Bokhara has sixteen elongated red compartments with pointed ends, arranged in two columns, and each one frames an ivory diamond with a small red centre. A grey-beige lattice of tiny motifs fills the space around them. The same soft silver tone runs into a wide border of many fine stripes dotted with small red diamonds, and a thin red band edges the rug.

Its raspberry and silver palette was hand-knotted in Pakistan, in natural wool at a density of around 250 knots per square inch. Sized 2.12 × 1.35 m, it fits a bedroom or lounge area of about 2.7 × 2 m and can sit under a coffee table in front of a two- or three-seater sofa. Classic round-gul layouts are also among our Bokhara designs.
