About this rug

Soft dusty pink, close to blush, gives this Ziegler a lighter look than red or brown grounds. Olive-gold palmettes and curling leaves are spaced openly over the field on fine crimson stems, with a small cross at the centre and a few red tulip tips. In contrast the border is a strong crimson, set with large ivory and green rosettes and smaller palmettes between pale olive guard bands.

Its hand-spun wool yarn was knotted by hand in Afghanistan. Its proportions suit a 3 × 2.5 m bedroom or lounge, and under a queen bed some 45 cm would show on either side. Other colourways are in our chobi rug collection.
