About this rug

A long navy medallion, shaped like a stretched hexagon with stepped pink and ivory edges, sits on an open field of clear red. Tiny red and ivory flowers fill the navy around a line of cream diamonds, and a lantern-shaped pendant caps each end. Navy corners packed with small blossoms frame the red, and the broad cream border carries pink and slate-blue palmettes on a black vine between narrow red guards.

Made in Iran, its red field and navy medallion are knotted by hand from 100% natural wool. At 226 × 130 cm, this handmade Persian rug can lie across the end of a bed, run along an entrance hall or sit under a reading chair, ideally on a floor of about 2.9 × 1.9 m.
