About this rug

The red of this Afghan runner leans towards rust, and the guls stand out clearly against it: dark octagons in two columns, each quartered by an ivory hooked cross. Large stepped crosses with ivory touches sit between them. The borders build a zigzag lattice from small dark stepped diamonds dotted with ivory, and a band of the same diamonds closes the end above the beige fringe.
