About this rug

As its name records, this Kashan carries a weaver's signature. Flowers in ivory, gold, sky blue and navy cover its red field on curling stems, around a notch-edged navy medallion. Inside that, a lobed ivory medallion encloses a stepped sky-blue cross and a small orange-gold rosette, and navy pendants point towards both ends. Navy corners hold ivory panels, while lilac-blue guard stripes edge a navy main border of scrolling vines.
