About this rug

Loose sprays of palmettes, rosettes and curling leaves, drawn in dark brown with touches of grey-blue, are spread across a warm sand-gold field, and a small rosette sits at the centre. The wide border changes to slate blue-grey, carrying sand-coloured palmettes along a leafy vine inside a thin sand edge, and every colour comes from natural vegetable dyes on hand-spun wool, hand-knotted by Afghan weavers.

At 152 × 100 cm the gold and slate-blue rug, one of our chobi and Ziegler rugs, sits comfortably beside a bed, just inside a front door or under a small coffee table, and roughly 2.1 × 1.6 m of open floor is enough to frame it.
