About this rug

Three diamonds nest one inside the other at the centre of this Bidjar: slate blue on the outside, then chocolate brown, then a small ivory core, each with stepped edges and filled with the same fine pattern as the field. That pattern is a herati repeat of rosettes and curved leaves in brown with blue dots, carried across the whole cream field. Triangular brown corners echo the medallion, while the chocolate-brown main border sits between ivory and navy guards.

Its cream, brown and slate-blue pile is 100% wool, hand-knotted in Bidjar, Iran. Herati and medallion designs from other regions are in our hand-knotted Persian rug range.
