About this rug

A scalloped oval of deep navy fills the centre of this 9La Nain, covered with fine ivory, sky-blue, gold and red flowers on scrolling stems. Its lobed ivory medallion frames a sand-gold arabesque around a sky-blue core, and ivory pendants carry the shape towards both ends. A pale blue outline separates the navy from ivory corners, each marked by a small burgundy motif, while the ivory main border runs slate and taupe vines between sky-blue guards.

It is from Nain, Iran, hand-knotted in 100% wool. For smaller rooms, our handmade Nain rugs include pieces of about 3 × 2 m.
