About this rug

Forty small octagonal guls in red and green, five across and eight down, sit in even rows on a cornflower-blue field, with saffron crosses set between them. The borders step outwards from a band of tiny ivory diamonds through saffron and green to a red band striped on the diagonal, ending in a narrow navy edge, with a white fringe at each short end.
