About this rug

Raspberry red fills the centre of this piece, and sky blue with mustard gold dominates the frame. In the field, five columns of oval guls are outlined in ivory and blue around a small red cross, while gold star shapes with olive tips sit between them. The border runs from a mustard band of leaf shapes to a sky blue band of gold crosses set in diamonds, then an orange stripe slashed with blue.

All of that colour sits in a natural wool pile roughly 8 mm deep, made in Afghanistan, and the 195 × 150 cm size suits a study, a nursery or a bedroom roughly 2.6 × 2.1 m in size. More multicoloured designs are in our akche collection.
