About this rug

Navy edges with bright orange teeth hold this runner together. Within them, an ivory border is stacked with small hourglass shapes in sky blue, rust, green, plum, mustard and grey. Four nested diamonds take up the centre, alternating rings of teal, plum, mustard, burgundy and green, each outlined by an ivory zigzag. At both ends a mustard band carries short slanted stripes in red, blue, teal and plum, followed by a grey fringe.

The navy, orange and plum wool is natural, and the whole runner was hand-woven flat in Afghanistan. At 210 × 85 cm, this design from our kilim rug collection fits a corridor of roughly 1.05 to 1.25 m wide, a landing or a bedroom.
