About this rug

Three rectangular panels stack down the deep red field of this Afghan Kazak like windows: ivory at the top and bottom, navy in the middle. Each frames an eight-pointed star with arrow-like arms and a small square box in every corner, and the short ends of the panels are cut in sawteeth. Beside them, ivory-and-olive diamonds alternate with navy snowflake motifs. The borders step out from a saffron stripe of chevrons to an ivory band of hooked rosettes in red, navy and olive, then a navy outer border.
