About this rug

Twenty-eight red octagons, four across and seven down, make a grid on this almost square jaldar Bokhara. Each frames a stepped ivory diamond with a red centre, and smaller hooked diamonds in red and ivory sit where the sand-beige lattice lines cross. Several narrow borders in grey, ivory and taupe, scattered with little red lozenges, surround the field, and the ends are finished with ivory fringe.
