About this rug

A bold ivory scroll winds around the black border of this rug, forming linked cartouches that each hold a small ivory flower. Inside, a rose-red field strewn with fine flowering stems ends in pointed arches at either end, and a black stepped medallion, rose and ivory at its core, sits at the centre with a small lobed pendant above and below. Ivory panels with black and grey flowers fill the corners. Knotted by hand in India from wool and silk, it has cream fringes at both ends. In a room near 2.75 × 2 m, this 214 × 143 cm rug from our silk rug collection can define a seating group of a sofa and two chairs.
