Kashan Floral Medallion Rug

A classic Persian Kashan rug featuring a rich red field with a finely detailed central medallion, surrounded by dense floral motifs and scrolling vines. The deep navy border frames the design beautifully, adding contrast and depth to the overall composition.

About this rug

Cornflower blue picks out the heart of this red and navy Kashan. It fills the core of the navy medallion, inside an ivory band around a red rosette, and returns as the heart of each palmette in the broad navy border, where ivory outlines link them on scrolling vines. Small ivory and blue flowers dot the red field on fine stems, navy pendants point to both ends, and the navy corners finish in an ivory and light-blue tip. Beige guard stripes edge the border.

The cornflower accents, like the rest of its pile, are hand-knotted 100% wool from Kashan, Iran. Our Kashan rugs run from hallway runners to pieces over four metres long.
