About this rug

Sand and cream with navy detail give this Persian Kashan a light, warm palette. A lobed sand-coloured medallion sits in the middle of the cream field, which is covered in navy, slate and brown flowering vines, and matching sand corners reach into the field at each end. The camel-toned main border carries brown and navy palmettes between ivory and navy guard stripes, and the natural wool pile, knotted by hand in Iran, stands about half an inch high. At 341 × 252 cm, the cream and sand rug suits a living room near 4 × 3.1 m with the front feet of the sofa resting on it, or a dining table as large as 2 × 1.1 m with space for the chairs.
