About this rug

Forty-four small guls cover the red field of this Afghan Bokhara in four columns of eleven, each dark burgundy and navy with ivory hooks inside. Stepped crosses dotted with ivory run between the columns, and half-crosses line the edges. The border keeps to a small scale as well: a band of red stars outlined in navy, with a row of tiny rosettes across the ends and touches of beige.
