About this rug

Eighteen large guls in three columns of six give this red Afghan wool rug a bold, even pattern from end to end. Each gul is quartered in navy and dark burgundy around a red cross, and dark sprigs with branching arms sit between the columns. A band of curling navy leaves frames the field, the main border is a dark crosshatch enclosing red diamonds, and narrow bands of small diamonds run outside it.
