About this rug

Bottle-green corner quarters mark every gul on this coral-red Afghan akche. There are eighteen guls, three abreast, each outlined in black around a criss-cross centre, with small clover shapes in its quarters. Branched, candelabra-like figures stand in the gaps. A broad trellis of red diamonds in black frames the field, and short cream fringes show at the ends.
