About this rug

Small ivory comb-like marks are woven into the outer band at both ends of this rug, three at each end. The red field holds five columns of octagonal guls, each divided by a pale cross, alternating with dark stepped motifs. Around it, slanting panels flecked with ivory dots run between rows of red eight-pointed stars set on a dark ground.
