About this rug

Dense flowering vines in sand, powder blue and ivory cover the navy field almost edge to edge, so the round medallion at the centre, sand-coloured with a powder-blue ring and short pendants, reads like a lighter pool in the middle. Powder-blue corners hold sand palmettes, and the navy main border repeats them inside small cartouches between sand and blue guard stripes; the thick pile is natural wool, knotted by hand in Iran.
