About this rug

A starburst medallion of pointed periwinkle-blue petals, with an ivory and taupe centre, lights up the middle of this navy Kashan. Directly above and below it, on the long axis, stand two small vases in ivory and gold. Gold, ivory and taupe blossoms are scattered across the rest of the field, while the corner pieces are a pale blue-grey.

Gold and ivory palmettes fill the navy main border, between greige stripes, with a cream fringe at the two ends. Its 100% natural wool was knotted in Iran, by hand. The 410 × 308 cm size is made for a large open-plan space, around 4.7 × 3.7 m. Vases and a starburst make it easy to pick out among our Kashan rugs.
