About this rug

A single file of twelve ivory and gold guls runs the full 2 m length of this crimson runner, each with a small dark red centre. Rows of little half motifs line both long sides of the field, and the slim border repeats tiny near-black, ivory and peach figures in fine bands. An ivory and gold lattice panel closes each end, followed by a white fringe.

Pakistani weavers knotted this runner by hand, using natural wool at some 250 knots per square inch. Its 66 cm width suits a corridor between about 86 and 106 cm wide, or a landing at the top of the stairs, and our Bokhara runners come in other lengths too.
